CLO – March 2010
March 26, 2010I read the article CLO – March 2010 – Page – http://tinyurl.com/ybh53z4
I agree with the points the author has mentioned and I liked the article.
It was due to these similar reasons I founded TXTNLRN where I would teach and also test a software application.
In the current economy if for example construction workers or people who want to get back into the workforce or just communicate with their grand children want to find another job where basic computer skills are required and if the person does not have those skills, I think the only way he/she can learn is by going to a class. It would be a little harder for the person to use social networking to learn, for example using the TXTNLRN way.
I was at a conference and I asked a few different people about what they thought of TXTNLRN concept of teaching and learning. A majority of them liked the idea. However, there was one that said you need to be flexible and should have the option to be present when teaching the Basic computers class, specially for people who have not used computers.
As you see I am going to teach in Hindi and Gujarati, I want to teach all who have cellphones in the cities or villages around the world.
eg Read in English, Speak in Spanish or Hindi , Start a Business with NO money down
Is it valid to ask how do we get everyone to be part of Social Communication or do we say it is for a niche
PS: I was not paid to write my thought.
Thank you,
